Arguably by those who have played it, Spyglass is in the top two with Pebble Beach in California. It is rated by most to be a much tougher course than Pebble.
The course is as challenging as it is beautiful. What can be better than a golf course that has incredible views of the Pacific and is meticulously maintained? Don’t take a beginner to this course. They will get chewed up and spit out and will probably never pick up another club again.
Unlike Pebble; Spyglass Hill (called “the glass” by locals), you have a driving range that is by the clubhouse rather than having to take a shuttle. It is a good thing because going on to this course without a warm up is guaranteeing triple digit scores.
The course offers a sand/seed mixture to fill your divots. Replacing your divot only invites the local crows to flip it over looking for worms. If you get the chance, you must add Spyglass to your golf course repertoire.
