Situated in the Salinas Valley between the Pacific and the Gabilan Hills is the public 18-hole championship course of Salinas Fairways Golf Course. The price is right on this Monterey County course designed by Jack Fleming in 1957. The course was redesigned in 1998 with improved practice facilities, cart paths, new lakes and irrigation. Salinas Fairways is a great muni course that has a friendly staff and is well maintained.
